Wedding Ceremony Music:

The wedding ceremony music includes prelude music, the processional, ceremony music and the recessional.

The prelude takes place about 20-30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. During this time the musician(s) will play background music while your guests are being seated.

The processional signifies the start of the ceremony. It often begins with the seating of the mothers and is followed by the procession of the bridesmaids and then the bride.

Ceremony music is any music that takes place during the actual ceremony. You may wish to have music performed during the lighting of the unity candle, following a sand ceremony or during communion.

The recessional indicates the conclusion of the ceremony. During this time the newly married couple and their bridal party exit. Lively up tempo music is typical for the recessional.
